Our German Pinschers

Having bought our first German Pinscher, Seren, we made tracks for the show ring and to have some fun. A new learning curve had started and with this we still managed to win 2 Best Puppy in the Breed at Championship shows.

2002: We left the Puppy classes, and into Post Graduate where we continued to learn and gained 6 Reserve Best Bitches (championship shows). We finished this year by going RESERVE BEST IN SHOW at the German Pinscher club show and been awarded the Swanwite Red Regalia cup and the Blista Trophy for the German Pinscher with the most points won at championship and open shows, thanks to Seren for a most enjoyable learning curve

Our first litter

2003: August saw the safe arrival of our first litter sired by INXS BACK TO BLACK.

All the litter were named after Stars following use of the NASA website for ideas to follow the star format. Having decided to keep two, namely, JAKAVE ERIDANI (Lucy) and JAKAVE TAU BOO (Enfys) we had double trouble to train ready for showing and then, in 2004, both entered the ring with their mother.

2004: Lucy's first show aged Just 6 months and 4 days she went Reserve best puppy in show at a all breed open show and we were to say rather over the moon but she followed this by going BEST IN SHOW and BEST PUPPY IN SHOW at the German Pinscher club show just 3 months later. That year Lucy won 3 more Best Puppy in Breed (championship shows) along with 2 Reserve Best Bitches (championship shows). Enfys was not left on the side line winning our very first BEST OF BREED and Best Puppy in Breed (championship show) at just 10 months old - This left us totally speechless and gave us another very memorable day! Later that year Enfys won another Best Puppy in Breed and 1 Reserve Best Bitch (championship show)

2005: All 3 girls were shown where classes permitted it- some times we had 2 in one class. Enfys gained 2 more Reserve Best Bitches whilst Lucy also had 2 Reserve Best Bitches (Championship shows) and Reserve Best Bitch at the German Pinscher club show

2006: Crufts was our first show of the year and was it a day to remember Seren was awarded Reserve Best Bitch from 2nd in Open. Enfys won Good Citizen (she has a bronze) and Lucy won Post graduate ( Lucy remains in Post Grad. Due to the K.C. rules that wins at championship shows were Challenge Certificates are not on offer are counted as open show wins - rare breed don't have C.C.) The year continued with Enfys taking her 2nd BEST OF BREED and a month later at Driffield she won BEST BITCH N.S.C. Working and Pastoral along with 2 more Reserve Best Bitch wins before the end of the year.
Lucy also managed to bring home a big red card with her first BEST OF BREED at Bournemouth and later she won another Best Bitch also 2 reserve Best Bitches before the end of the year

2007: Saw Lucy and Enfys repeating their Crufts successes with 1st in Post Graduate and Good Citizens classes while Seren was awarded 3rd in Open bitch. In May Seren won Reserve Best in Show at the German Pinscher club show along with Best Progeny with both her daughters. Lucy and Enfys were lightly shown this year however Lucy still managed 2 Reserve Best Bitch and Enfys one.
The summer saw us enter a large black hole. We had planned and dreamed of another litter but fate was cruel and unfortunately, Enfys lost her litter at the last moment, we were very grateful to our friends within the breed for their support at this time. Fortunately as 2008 begins Enfys has now recovered and is bouncing with health. After almost a year of deliberation and investigation we decided to bring forward our plans to diversify and add another breed to our gang.
September saw the arrival of a fluffy coated puppy which we called Hoshi, Japanese for star, - the stars continue to shine see Sheba Inu pages.

2008: Crufts saw Seren back on the green carpet to strut her stuff and win Veteran Bitch, Lucy won 2nd Open Bitch and Enfys teamed up with a very new handler, our grand daughter Chelsea, who entered the show ring at Crufts for the very first time (jump / thrown in at the deep end) where she won 2nd in Good Citizen class. We are very proud to say this duo have continued to learn and grow winning in both the breed classes and Y.K.C. gaining 5th in 6-11 years old class at Leeds CH. show . The year finished on a high with Lucy going BEST OF BREED at Darlington she also added another3 Reserve Best Bitch to her collection this year and Enfys won 1 Reserve Best Bitch. Enfys will continue to be shown by Chelsea as they have an understanding - Enfys thinks "I'll stand here and do this and then Chelsea will give me a sausage".
